Merry Christmas Once Again

Well I'm back with a picture of all the fun stuff we got in our Advent Calender Event.. Oh my when you lay it all out we did very well.. All is here I think except for a few of the candy stuff... I think I used a few of the brads as well when they showed up..

Sign me up for next year for sure Creative Accents this was to much fun to not do it again...
Hope everyone is enjoying there day with family, friends or who ever...
For those that have asked our annual dinner party for Firwood Hill went very well we had 12 for Turkey dinner..

Merry Christmas to All my Friends

One last card  Christmas card for this year... It has been a wonderful and fun year doing this Blog and I want to Thank you all for stopping by and having a look see at what I am busy creating.. And for all the wonderful comments you have left.

This was a quick card really but I really like it and will file it away for making more next year.. I made this one for the Nixon Family.. AKA  Creative Accents Family.. Hope you have a wonder Christmas with friends and family..

I will be back in the next day or two to add a picture of all the wonderful items we got in our Advent Calendar Event  I really enjoyed doing this and hopefully we will be able to do one next year..

Hope You All are Ready for Christmas

It seems that it has been a long time since I last posted, but looking at the date it has only been a week but what a busy week..
I have not posted for awhile on my Advent Calendar, I decide to post one picture at the end, of all the fabulous bling and stuff I have received (It will be short the chocolates(sorry ate em)) 

So on the 24th I will try and remember to put a picture up of it all..

I have been busy this week getting ready for our Annual Firwood Hill Christmas party.. We have hosted this now for over 20years for just the neighbors on our hill.  Last year we did it a bit different and I made turkey dinner for all.. Actually I found it less work than all the buffet items I used to do.. So anyway it is tomorrow and I have been busy today getting house work and prep work done.. Also finishing off the Christmas Cards for everyone..

Here are some of the cards I have done at the last minute, (I am kind of in love with them) so quick and simple but..

I did six of these altogether, very much alike but used different embossing folders used for each one..

This next card I took to the girls at Curves  (I go at least  4 to 5 times a week early morning )

I hope the ladies all get a good laugh..

And lastly a card I did for a friend and it looks like she won't get till the New Year again a little different but I like it..

I used an embossing folder but first I colored the paper with the new red and green TH ink.. then put embossing ink on the folder it self.. Embossed the paper and right away sprinkled on white embossing powder then heat set is.. The sparkles on it don't really show and the ribbon says  Let it Snow..

Another Quick Christmas Card

The days are going past fast.. I THINK I have all the really important cards in the mail just a few close ones to get out this next week and prepare for my Neighbor Hood party next week end..  Anyway here is the card

This is another cut the shape out and put it as an over lay on the stamped image.. This is a cute snowman I have from Stampendous that is embossed in Green.. Spellbinders dies.. Hero Arts Merry Christmas stamp also embossed.. The little sled it cut out with the Silhouette Oh yes of coarse the TH Christmas Green Distress Ink was used on the edges.

See quick and easy I do so love the way this turned out will be making a few more and looking to see what other stamps I can do this with..

It's All Barb's Fault

Ya Barb found this picture of a card with a silhouette on it with horses so I had to go looking at what I had already and of coarse found several.  Since I have purchased or they came with the machine I guess I should use them...

So here is one of the Silhouette's I have.. It re-size's very small and cuts out great..

I cut out the spellbinders shape as an over lay on a 4-1/4 x5-1/2 card  and stamped the horses straight onto the card front.. to give a bit of 3D effect (wanted to keep the card flat for mailing)
Used TH Picket Fence white stain around the edges to give it a softer look then sprayed the over lay with glimmer mist as well as the horse and wagon.. (I know it doesn't show in the pic)

All in all I am quite pleased with how quick and simple this card was to make and I like the look of it..

December CA Challenge

Well here we are in December and I imagine all of us have lists a mile long we are trying to get done..

This months Challenge is really very simple and as we are all in the Christmas mode should be quick, so we hope to see lots of you enter this month.. Creative Accents Challenges

I decided I was getting  tired of looking at Christmas Cards, Snowman Soup and Poop(snowman stuff that is) so it was time to change gears and think of something else..

This took a little longer than I had planed but I am pleased with it.
It will make a nice table center piece or mantel decoration..

It is 12" X 41/2"  and abut 5 inches tall.. It is a triple easel card (idea got from  Bits by Nancy  )
I cut the sled and deer with my Silhouette, embossed the snowflakes on the bottom. I can't remember right now the 6x6 paper pad I used. (sorry)  TH Banner and lots of bits and pieces from my stash.

December is coming REALLY Fast

At Creative Accents we did a Advent Event and 12 crafter's signed up, we each made two sets of 12 packages.. These are to be filled with chocolate and crafty stuff from our stash or the store..

We now have our packages and have little gifts to open from Dec. 1 to the 24..How much fun this is going to be.. I thought I would share a picture with you of the boxes I did and then a picture of all my 24..

  I got days 3 and 15    My day 3 has the poinsettia on the out side, it is held there with a double magnet so that it can be used as a Christmas Ornament..

So looking forward to opening my first one tomorrow..

Day 1..lovely Burlap stocking with cute gingerbread brads, die and pins.. & candy cane Love it
Day 2  Pyramid box Chocolate, ribbon & monkey brads.. Oh my..
Day 3  my own little box.. Poinsettia on the outside an added ornament..flowers and stuff.
Day 4  Pouch filled with some bling, ribbon and Chocolate kisses.. 
Day 5  More bling goodies and nice chocolate  (expected Buttons Marianne HEEHEHEE inside joke)
Day 6  brads, twine, flowers and the cuties little hanger.. If you can't tell I am having fun..
Day 7  lots of lovely bling, ribbon.. Great little pie box.. Well done
Day 8 lovely little env. with lots of flower cut outs and sparklies..

Trying to get some Christmas stuff done

Just a quick post to share a little of what I have been up to.. So much to do and time is running out fast..

First off is some Snowman Poop..

Need to do a few more but have 10 done so far..

Then I made some mugs for the Snowman Soup..Have 18 done so far..

Still working on cards and have to get busy on my next DT item due next week I believe..

Today's Projects..

OK time is getting short and I have to get cards done and a few other projects.. I made tags the other day and loved the way they turned out (scroll down a couple of posts if you want to see)  So today I made some more and worked on making them into cards.. Here is what I came up with..

I silver embossed my images on 2-1/2" by 4" white card stock, the picture doesn't show the back grounds well see close up below..

I used Sizzix's embossing folder on the gray background, Weathered wood (TH) ink on the edges..

Also made another couple of boxes (folders) and used the Gingerbread Men again This stamp is turning into one of my Fav's for this year.. Now just have to bake some cookies to put in them..

Have to Play...Crazy 4 Challenges

Been having trouble getting my Christmas cards done this year.. Did all my Mums and a bunch for my Daughter, now having trouble getting my own done.. So this morning decided to see what is on the other blogs and get myself motivated.. Well Crazy 4 Challenges  has a nice little challenge for this week so back to the craft room I went..

The Challenge is Black and White and a Wow color

My picture is not the best Black and White is very hard to photograph by the way..

Black back ground... White embossed music Correction it is a Sizzix's  Folder  with red velvet ribbon and Joy cut with the Silhouette and sprayed with Perfect Pearls Red..

Now I think I will just go and produce a few more of these..

Working on Christmas Items.

Well I am trying to get in the mood to get a lot of cards done this week end.. So tonight I decided I had to play a bit.. On Hero Arts blog their are some tags which I really really liked and tonight I tried them out..

They are done on plain white card stock cut to 4-1/4" by 2-1/2" with the corners rounded,  then embossed with Silver, the ribbon is from Creative Accents  the Holly branch is a Hero Arts stamp (which they still had one of in the store today) the Happy Holidays is from a Bo Bunny Set that a friend bought for me.. and the house is from a set I got last year.. Both  turned out great..

This third  tag is from a set I bought from Graphicat Designs  last week end at the Craft Fair (Cheri will be at the Craft Fair at Catiline School is week end as well.)  They sure stamp nice Cheri..

Again I have embossed with Detail Silver..and used the ribbon from Creative Accents.. I think I will be going in tomorrow for more if it is not already sold out.. Tara if you read this before I get there will you please save me another couple of yards..

Playing Around Today

This week end at the Early Christmas Market I picked up one of
Graphicat Stamp Sets   so had to play with it today.. I copied at fold that I saw on
Nicole's Site   (fell in love with the fold to make this cute box..)

I hope to be able to fill this one and a few more with Ginger Bread Men for some friends and neighbors..

Recipe
Paper 12x12 Craft Stock  and one 6x6 Christmas sheet (don't remember which pad it came out of)
Stamp Set from  Graphicat  Clear (boy does it stamp nice)
White Embossing powder
TH Crackle Paint Clear (over the gingerbread men and sign)
Twine and Bells from Stash..
I used color pencils to color Gingerbread men before putting on Crackle Paint.

Challenge time again November Creative Accents Have one for you

Well it is time again for a new Challenge from Creative Accents  this month we are doing a Sketch.. Please scroll down to see the Sketch.. First off is my Christmas card I used Bo Bunny paper (can't remember the name of it and one of the brads that matched) some of the new ribbon in at the store so nice for bows and Knot's..

 Second card is done in fall colors and using again some Bo Bunny paper.. Colored with my Copic's

November Stamp of the Month..

Another month, another stamp  this month Creative Accents   has chosen  a Hero Arts Re positionable Rubber
called  CG379 Borders..  There is no end of ideas for this one.. 4 border stamps..
I did one card with each stamp so here you go take a look then be sure to stop in the store and see them all yourself's first hand

The card above is a cute little fold I found.. will be great for lots of things.. invitations.. place markers..a neat way to have a write up with a product.

 The Birds... these are from QK's and then stamped with a hero arts flower using  3 TH resit Inks doing a wiggle and walk tech..  love the material looking stamp the birds are sitting on.

 Again the birthday card is using 3 TH Inks and wiggle and walk tech.. using fall colors. (wasn't quite ready to do a Xmas card for this) though I have been working a quite a few.. 

Lastly this Congratulations card  I used silver embossing powder and silver and black paper.. with a little bling  I really do like this one..so many uses for this..
