Some Quick Cards

Did a couple of quick cards this morning to take into Creative Accents.. haven't been doing much in my craft room it felt good to do these two before going to the store and doing Tim Holtz May tag.. will post that later.. Graphicat Sketch #8 another Birthday Card

Well I missed Sketch #7 first time I have missed doing one.. So had to be sure to get one in this time

So I know it is not Hockey Season or maybe the play off's are still going on I don't  know all I know for sure is our Canucks aren't in it. I don't watch it anyways but have friends and family that watch it a lot so..
 Did this card for David.. It's a couple of days late but he wasn't home and will pick it up later today when he gets his dogs.. (which I have been dog sitting for the last 4 days Lovely dogs)  Any way I used Cheri's sketch #8 from over at Graphicat Sketches

Well since the card above did not quite match the sketch decided I should do a second and since they are both Hockey nuts did the same theme  just a couple of changes...
Besides they both have the same name   David is the top card and Dave is the bottom card..

May Birthdays

Well May is a very good month for Birthdays and I have been making a few cards for special people in my life who have Birthdays in May...

First Sarah's  my Baby Girl Birthday was on the 15th  I am not putting her age in here as it will really age me and I don't feel that old.. I am so proud of her..

Next is her twin boys Birthdays their day is the 22nd.. and they are 19 this time round..

Colton is offically a Hinton Fire Fighter..

Brandon is offically a EMR..

So proud of them all..

Hand Made Flowers May Challenge

Yuppers it is Challenge time again over at Creative Accents Challenges.. 
This month it is Hand Made Flowers
Now we know you have all been working on your Mothers Day Cards Right??
I am sure you could put some hand made flowers on it and then enter our Challenge Nothing to it..
Here is your inspiration

 Now when I saw this,
I thought right away about a Canvas and I have only ever made one before in a class..
So here you go..

I had so much fun playing in the inks and stuff last month that I used a lot again for this one..

This is a 8 x 10 Canvas..
Items Used on the flowers and leaves

-Peacock Feathers
-Festive Berries
-Seedless Preserves
-Ripe Persimmon
-Squeezed Lemonade
-Shaded Lilac
 Tim Holtz
-Peeled Paint
-Evergreen Bough

Canvas has been sprayed with every color of Perfect Pearls/ Glimmer mist/Moon Shadow Mists that I own. Had fun in the yard doing that.. So nice out in the sunshine and didn't have to worry about what else I was spraying.. Snoopy thought it was great..( Surprising his nose did not get colored up)

The die cuts are from Memory Box and I am afraid I don't remember the name of the die for the daisy type flowers, they are cut from Linen paper and then died.. other flowers are from Mrs. T. (she made them).
The poem ( I guess you could call it that) is my own not sure what made me do it..

Another Card different Tech..

Well I did this card this week end and really like the new tech. I will be looking at my stamps again to see which ones I can use doing this.. I don't know what the tech. is called but sure was fun..

 Used the new Brushstix by Tsukineko with TH Distress Inks.. Do they ever work nice.. (they are in at Creative Accents right now and I will be taking in my card to the store tomorrow so you can have a closer look) I don't have this stamp myself borrowed it from Good Friend Miss. O
Flower is black Embossed  then you blend your colors till happy with.. Used on of my new
Tim Holtz labels and ribbon from my stash.. Don't remember the paper used sorry..

I am entering this over at  Stamptacular Sunday Challenge  I haven't entered one of theres for some time this week it is Layers you must have 3...

Also entered in Crazy 4 Challenges  must use black card stock to pop your image..

Sketch #6 at Graphicat

Well here it is time for another Graphicat Sketch #6 
Worked on this Card at a Crop Cheri hosted for her sons School Trip..
What a blast we all had or I think everyone at our table sure did.  

So here is the one I did for this challenge..

I turned the sketch 90 degrees to fit with my new image (stamp I got from Graphicat)
Pictute could be better but it was hard getting a clear shot all done in pale pinks and peaches.

Now I did get some other cards done as well.. I managed to finish 6 cards yes I counted twice
except for the insides..
Not bad for only taking part in the one day of the crop and I had so much fun as well.. Meet some
new people..laughed a lot.. ate far to much.. got a friend into making cards..Now what more could
you ask for.. Below is a picture of 3 of the cards I got done..

Now granted they are all the same image but I only had one precolored before the crop.. I have another one as well but won't be putting it up till later as it is for another challenge..

Here is my take on Graphicat's Sketch #5 

This card I did in Black and White with a touch of Silver.. ya there is a lot that can construed from the things I have used but I had fun playing with this one..

Having a week off from work this week and totally enjoying myself.. not doing the things I had planed but they are still waiting for me.. Did have a good visit to Alberta and visit with family..

April Spring and Easter What a wonderful Time

April is here and this week end it Easter.. What a wonderful time to start a new challenge at Creative Accents Challenges

Our Picture insperation.. using all those sprays and stains that we have collected over the last year or so..  Oh did I have fun with this one.. My card did not turn out like the  pictures in my head.. But really how often does that happen.. But I am really happy with this card.. See what you think...

 The above pic is in full sun light. and below is more of a muted to let you see more of the colors.

I had a really hard time getting a good photo.. Card is at the store for you to take a look at.

the card is 5-1/2x5-1/2  brown Basil
back ground paper for the mushrooms (4x4 QC) is made using the different sprays and Tumbled Glass.  The lace behind the Mushrooms is dabbed with the Distress Stains crunched toghere and rubbed between my hands then sprayed with perfect pearls.. You can't see much of it but it has a really nice look.. Butterfly and other bling from my stash..

Tim's March Tag My Take

I had a fun afternoon Saturday with the Girls at Creative Accents  we got together and did  the March Tag from Tim Holtz ..  Lots of laughs and giggles went with the creating..
This is what mine turned out like...

Graphicat Sketches Challenge

Boy am I cutting it close but haven't missed one of her Challenges yet...

Colored this Lily of the Valley Imagine yesterday and put it together just a few minutes ago..

Picture is not the best but she is done in pinks and mauves..

Challenge Time Again.. March is here

If March is here then Spring is not far away.. Though it feels like it may take awhile to get here..
this month our Challenge  is Green

And here is the card I made..

My papers are from a 6x6 KaiserCraft Lil'Primrose ( love it very pastel colors)
Cut shapes with my spell binders..
Hand cut the flowers from one of the sheets in the 6x6 ( they are all glossy which you can't see in the picture)
Tag is from the book as well.
Stamped sentiment is from a set from Hero Arts Friends.
Leaves are cut from a Sizzix die  and sprayed with Gilmmer Mist
Flowers and ribbon from my stash.
Card is 6x6 as well.. (getting to do more and more of the bigger ones never thought I would)

March Stamp of The Month

Well lets try this again worked hard on getting a post ready to go up this morning and BLOGGER ate it.. or Gobbled it up.. Any way it has dissapeared.

These stamps are really quite cute.. Tara will have all the details over at Creative Accents
So here you go these are the cards I did with the stamp set.. I have a few more ideas for other cards so we shall see what gets done.. You all know how that goes.. Full of good intentions anyway..

 This froggy I set back in a the frame.. put Clear Accents on his eyes and spots..

 This card I copper embossed the lovely lizards and saying..

This card I used the saying used TH inks and then sprayed with Goose bumps. The Armadillo is distresses and then crackle Accents used on him with more TH ink rubbed in. The little mice's are stamped on white behind the town Shiloette peeking out at you..
