Now with that title I am not going to post a New Years Card. I did spend time today in my craft room getting things back to a more normal state. (Christmas papers and stamps put all together)
I did make a couple of simple cards for my stash so I thought I would share with you.
First one is made with a new Hero Arts stamp from the 2011 catalog. I think this one is going to see a lot of use. Colored with Copic's / saying's are also from Hero Arts.
Second card is made with Lavender Quilter again. I had some left over paper and stuff sitting on the desk so instead of just packing things all up I put together another card. Actually went together pretty fast. ( second cards sometimes work that way.)
Hope you enjoy. Thank you for looking. All the best to you in 2011. Take Care

Mother's Birthday Card
My mother (she is in her 80's) has a birthday coming up in January. I thought I would get it done so I have it in the mail on time this year. I saw this stamp awhile ago and just had to get it for her card, you see my mum still does crafty things, she is heavy into Quilting. (and boy does she do some nice stuff)
Stamp is Kratin' Kimmie Lavender The Quilter
Paper is Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck Material Girl -also some from the 12x12 pack
Ready set Chip from Material Girl as well. ( first time I have ever used these very nice)
Colored with Copic's
I am safe posting here now as she doesn't have internet. So if you know her please don't tell. Let me know what you think. I love to get your comments. Take Care and Thanks for looking.

Well got playing with the new machine tonight. Found this pattern in the library to buy and thought I just had to try it. Oh what fun I had. Did the green one first out of just cheap card stock then did the second out of nice Silver heavier card stock. Don't ask how it works I played long and hard to get them together I could not find directions on line.(could be I was not looking in the right spot/ do they have directions at the site??)
I will be taking the silver one into Creative Accents tomorrow so you can stop in and see. Have a good day all.

Youngest Grandson's Birthday this Month
Here I am going along making Christmas cards and starting to get parcels ready for the mail and the light goes on. Youngest Grandson's birthday card is not done yet. SO had to stop and think about this one.
Stamp is CC Designs Ski Bunny Trevor (had not used it yet)
Paper is Bo Bunny / a few brads and a snow flake from my stash
This card did not take long to put together I used puff snow around his skies and sprayed the whole card with the new Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist which I picked up at Creative Accents this week.
Thanks for looking. Wish I remembered to take a picture of the inside of this one I did a nice job on it as well and you are just going to have to take my word on that. It is already packed up in the parcel going out to his house tomorrow. One done two more to mail.
Take Care
PS he'll be 7 on the 20th and just started taking snow boarding lessons.

Quick and Simple
Well these worked up really fast and are quite simple to do. I am in love with the white embossed on the gray. I saw a card done with the gray some time ago and thought it looked neat. So when I was looking today for some quick ideas to do. For those people on your list that you know are not going to save your card but you want to send something special to anyway. The stamps are embossed on gray with white and alittle color added with distress inks around the edges Green with pine boughs and red with the bows. Well I'm off to do a few more of these will be looking to see what other stamps I have that will work this way. Take Care All
Crunch is on Have to get Cards done.
Well December is here and all of sudden I have to get the rest of my cards done. So I sat down this morning to work on a few. Just thought I would share them with you. The first is a sweet stamp I got at Creative Accents Doesn't take long to color and just add a bit of bling. The second is quick and simple again. Embossing snowflake folder another sweet stamp from my fav. store( heat embossed with gold) and some ribbon. (Creative Accents has Christmas stamps on sale today)
Well have to run and do some more. Here is a couple of shots out my living room window of some visitors we get regularly. Yes they were right under the front door steps.
Take Care and have a great day. Let me know what you think of things.

Decembers Stamp of the Month
Good Morning it is now DECEMBER.
Here are a couple of Cards done with the Stamp of the Month. Tara over at Creative Accents asked a couple of us to help her out with some cards.
I don't belong to the the SOTM club (but Barb does) So I picked up her stamps early ( I did ask first) and then sat and looked at them for awhile.
The first card I embossed with white on different colors of Bazil Card stock and used Gold Stickles on the edges.
The second card I embossed again in three different colors. Used the snowflake border punch from EK and added the deer / tree / flowers from my stash oh ya some ribbon as well.
Hope you enjoy you can stop by CA and see them there when you are out and about.
Take Care Thanks for looking.

Getting some Cards done.
Well December is coming really fast now and I have a lot of cards to get done yet. So tonight I put together a few. The First one is Thomas Kincade stamp I have been playing with for awhile, I am finally happy with this card. It is embossed on white card stock with blue embossing powder. ( I used the Tim Holtz embossing ink I am really happy with it)
The second card of the polar bears I colored the other day with my copic's and put on the snow. Tonight I just cut the shape and matched up the paper, actually it went really fast as there is very little coloring to do in this stamp.
I will be delivering both cards to Creative Accents tomorrow, so you will be able to stop by and see. Hope you enjoy. Take Care all and have a great week end.

First Card with some Silhouette cut outs
Good Evening all, well I have been putting off playing with my silhouette SD. I did try and do some stuff the first week end I had it and was not happy with what I was doing. ( Helps if you read manual and try stuff already loaded in computer first)
So tonight I just played with what is already there. ( I am much happier) In the card above the snowflakes and for you are cut from plain white card stock. I Glimmer Misted them with Iridescent Gold and Candy Apple Red. The Spellbinder shape is cut from brown Bazil, then sprayed with Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist. I used Glossy Accents on his nose and the ribbon on the present. My bear is colored with regular pencil crayons and then lightly touched with mineral oil. The whole card is put together with Zip Dry Glue (it is fast becoming a fav.)
Hope you enjoy. (PSSST Creative Accents is having a big sale this Friday and Saturday.) Maybe we will see you there. I will be taking this little guy into the store so you could drop by and see him. Take Care Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think.

Bow Tying Block
Good Morning All
New feature on my blog is a video link, my husband has made me and a few selected friends some bow tying blocks. We did a little video so you could see how easy it is to do Bows.
Hope you enjoy, ( PSST, I am working on getting him to make some more)
These are made from Tigerwood (a Plantation Farmed Brazilian hardwood), a very hard tropical hardwood often used in flooring. It is cut and hand finished to size. Then drilled and laser engraved using machines that were designed and constructed by my husband. The pins are polished surgical stainless steel which are hand finished on a lathe. Hope you enjoy the video.

This card is for my Uncle Ian and his wife Anna. I can't seem to call her Aunt. (I have known her long before she married my Uncle and she says it is just fine to call her Anna.)

Hope you enjoy. I wasn't so organized this time to take a picture of the supplies.Colored with Copic's and the other items are all available at Creative Accents.

Todays Cards
Good Evening all. Actually did 5 of these cards but 5 does not look right in a picture. The idea for this style came from Cheri's blog Garphic Cat and her sketches. I did change it a bit because hers is a square card and I rarely do square. (Don't know why I have trouble with them but I do)
Colored with my copic's then Glitter Ritzed with warm green highlights. Paper is from my stash as well as the bling (if you can call the deer and tree bling)
It is a very simple card to do and I really like how they turned out. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking.

Just a Little Something I worked on this week.
The Card is above and here is a picture of the materials I used.
I thought I would do this card with just pencil crayons and a few of the simpler things, that I actually started making cards with. I will admit to using one copic pen which I forgot to put in the pic and it is the one for skin color E00.
I have been asked by a few people lately about doing cards and getting started but they are scared of the cost so, that is what got me thinking about where to start.
Hope you enjoy.
I would love for you to join me as a follower if you are not already. Please let me know what you think.
Have a great day all. Take Care

Here you go Susanne
This the other stamp I received from our friends in Germany. Susanne had one request that if I could please make this into a card and post it on my blog. I have colored it several different ways with copic's but was not completely happy with it. So here I have stamped in Memento Green Ink, added a small amount of color with a green and yellow copic's then Glitter Ritzed it with warm green highlights. I am very happy with how it turned out. Added a embossed back ground, used Pine Needles Distress Ink, ribbon from my stash, tree and deer from CA as well as the snowflake and bling.
I only hope Susanne is as happy with it. Please let me know what you think.
Take Care all and thanks for looking.
