Christmas In July Oh What Fun

Well our local Creative Accents store had a Christmas in July Card Crop Friday and Saturday.. Oh what fun we had..  I thought I would share with you the cards I got done.. Not that many but am home and starting to put away my stuff and have lots of ideas to get working on..   I hear they are doing another next Saturday at the store for those that could not make it this time.  I know it will be as much fun as this one was.  Lots of laugh's and giggles all round.  Well here is what I got done. (have to finish the insides)

New Stamps in At Creative Accents

Late last week Creative Accents got in some new Krafting Kimmy Stamps and I had to get a few.  Here is what I have done with two of them....

This first one above was a lot bigger than I thought but I am quite happy with the way it turned out. It is a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 card,  colored with Copic's of coarse, Lace from CA, as well as paper (don't know which one it was from my 12x12 stock.  You can't see the sparkle on the card but it is there. 

This second card (4-1/4"x5-1/2") I paper pieced her dress, colored with Copic's and air brushed with copic's around the Spellbinders cut out.  Dragon has lots of sparkle to him that I could not get to show up in a picture. 

Well with that said if you want to see them close up I should have them to the store by afternoon.

Graphicat July Sketch Challenge

It has taken me awhile this month to getting an around to it and getting this card done and entered at graphicatsketchs.blog    

But is done now.  I am really happy with how it turned out.

Good Morning All Just a quick Post

Good Day all just a quick post to show you some other quick cards I did on the week end. 
I had a sort of Lazy Sunday and wanted to make cards but didn't feel like coloring to much so here is what I came up with. (truth don't think my hands would have been steady enough to color)

I used the Hero Arts back ground stamp Envelopes (?)  TH inks / Hero Arts Feathers / and I don't remember the name of the set with Friends stamp it came from Creative Accents.

Saturday Afternoon Card Making

Well spent some time in the craft room this afternoon and while going through a drawer of stamps found some Hero Arts I had not used yet.  They seemed to yell at me that I better do something with them today. 

Below is what I came up with a simple set of three cards, three different flowers ,in three colors.  I like having a few sets on hand for gifts and such but have not had any done for awhile so it is time to stock up again. 

Anyway here they are.  Hope you all have had a good day with what ever you were up to.  Tomorrow I must work on a couple of cards for some challenges I want to enter.

Creative Accents July Challenge

Well June sure went fast here we are already with July Challenge sure hope you got your entries in for last month and here we go for this month.  ANY THING SUMMER oh my that gives you lots to work with.

 So I decided I wanted to do something a little different....  Outside of my Card

Summer always means flowers and garden time to me.  Also means time to relax in the yard surrounded by flowers so here is the inside of my card a pop up.

Now I must tell you I had a lot of fun and frustration with this card.  I found the PDF for the shape but no directions??  If any one is interested let me know and I will send you the PDF it was a freebee...

Stampede Time and Using up some Scrap

With the Famous Williams Lake Stampede almost here I did this card up a little while back.  It has been on display at Creative Accents if anyone want to see it in person.  

I have paper pieced the boots, used a line stamp to do an out line around two layers, used peel and stick letters for the howdy, spellbinders label to stick them to and an little twine around the edge to add a little.  It is a very quick and easy card to do but I like how it turned out.  All items are available at Creative Accents.


This second card I did is also very quick and simple I used up some of my scrap ( you know those 1 inch pieces that you get when you trim up paper for something)  I have woven the pieces together then used a sewing border stamp to do the stitching (you can do it by hand with a pen and ruler if need be)  Simple saying and you are done.    I am doing a set of quilting type cards for a friend who is a great quilter.

Fathers Day Card

Fathers day is next Sunday so I decided to share this card I made for my dad with you all.

What does not show in the picture is that the white circles look like golf balls.  I did this by cutting a small  circle then running it through an embossing folder with large dots.  Colored with Copic's.
Well all for now will be back hopefully later today with some cards I did at a crop yesterday.  Sure was a good time and I am so tired this morning.

 Creative Accents Challenge Blog  has the June Challenge up.  

It is a sweet Sketch from our very own Cheri. Happy Birthday Dave King

My nieces other half, is having a birthday today so I had to make him a special card to celibate. ( I hope after this we are still invited to the wedding this summer.)  Now a little explaining is needed I asked Aimee what Dave is interested in besides Hockey.  Her answer was he loves dogs (they have a great dane), plays the drums, likes working in the garden and is a music drama teacher ---Oh ya his last name is King.  So I could not resist  doing this card.

Anniversary Cards

I have a couple of Anniversary's coming up in June and with the possible postal strike I wanted to get them off in the mail. 

I used the Stamp of the Month for May (Love this stamp) Bo bunny paper/ Stamped with Blue and Green Memento Ink/ Glitter/ and bling and flowers from my stash.

Male Type Cards

 With Fathers day coming up fast,  I thought I would do a couple of cards for the male's in our life's. 

Materials Bo Bunny paper, some brads, Vintage Photo TH Distress Ink and border punches.
Also on the Car card I followed one of Cheri's Sketch for her May's Challenge.
I made the train track using the picket fence from QK.., other shapes are all QK or Spellbinder dies.

Katharina's Birthday

Well it is Katharina's Birthday on Monday.  She is the little girl from Germany that visited with us last summer, now I have done cards for her Brother/Father and Mother on their birthdays so it is finally her turn.  I enjoyed making this one for her.  I really hope she likes it.  Have a great Birthday Katharina.

I used Lily of the Valley Stamps some Wild Orchard flowers and some bling. Colored with Copic's and Spectra pens for a little sparkle.
