Graphicat Designs Challenge for April

Well I actually did two cards that will match this challenge I will show both here but the first is really the only one I will enter.  Love Cheri's sketches.  Could not resist this image when I found it again.  It was a freebie I am sorry don't remember where I got it from.  Here is Cheri's Sketch.

So here is my Entry Card

Isn't he cute   A really quick card to do just using the Black and White.
Now here is the second card (actually the first one I did)  It was a fun card to do as well. 

Colored with Copic's  Afraid I don't remember where I got the ribbon and what paper this is I do know I got it at Creative Accents it was a 6x6 pad.  The image is one of the new ones in the store.

My Craft Area (room)

I have visited many sites and looked at lots of different ways everyone has their crafting rooms / areas set up.  I wish I had the money and area to set some of those up.  They are just great.  So I thought I would share with you a little of my area.  I had to just do a big rearrange because my husband very nicely made me a set of shelves and then found me a set of drawers that are just great. So here are a few pictures of where I escape/ create or play depending on how you look at it. 

This is the main area where I color and put together (new shelves are on the back of the desk)

Here is the new set (or second hand) drawers. 

My cutting area.  Love my Big Shot and Revolution.

And last my stamping area.  I am not one of those people that is a neat and tidy stamper.  So I keep the inks and messy stuff away from my main area.

Friends Cards. You can never have enough in your Stash

I realized my stash of on hand cards was getting a little low and I am really enjoying this new tech. with the TH resit inks so I decided to try another couple of cards just playing around.  I am quite pleased with the way these turned out.

The stamps used are all Hero Arts  Paper is plain white and Bazil card stock. You can't really see the Bling in the blue and pink card but its there in the center of each flower.  Tech used to do the flowers is called wiggle and walk (found it on a Hero Arts Video)

A Card that Barb Made

Barb brought this card over to show me on the week end,  it is lovely so I took a picture.  I was good this time and asked to post it on the blog here (usually I just do it)  Anyway Barb said I could so I was going to do it yesterday and didn't get one of those around to its.  SO here it is a day late but well worth the wait. 

I forgot to take a picture of the inside which is just as nice as the this. I pretty sure all materials are from CA if you want more details you will have to ask Barb.   Please let Barb know what you think.
I sure think it is lovely and I am sure her friend that is going to receive it later this month will as well.

Afternoon's Fun

Well Barb and I got together and played a bit with the new machine.  Then watched a couple of Hero Arts Videos.   The following is what came of it.  Had a lot of fun and laugh's as usual.  Take Care

The Video  was called Layered Embossing.  There are four different layers of stamping on this card.  It was fun to do.  (I did one a little while ago on my own that did not turn out).  So between the two of us we got it to work.  Will be doing this again.

Got Myself a New Toy

Well I went and bought a Big Shot with a pretty sweet bundle.  So last night I finally got around to playing with it.  Tried out the new Embossing folders that came with it.  Works really well with all that I tried.  So here are a couple of quick cards I made with the new folders.  Hope you all have a great day.  I am spending the afternoon in the craft room maybe I will be back later with what we made. Graphicat Designs Challenge the First of Many I Hope

An Old Fashioned Hello

Was feeling like I should  be creative last night since I hadn't done anything in the craft room all week end.  So I came up with this little card.  It turned out better than what I had envisioned which is great. 

-Paper from a 6x6 pad  Cosmo Cricket "Wanted" 
-Stamps are from Hero Arts "Just Saying Hello"
-Flowers / lace/ bling all from my Stash.
-The phone and saying are embossed in black.
-I used a page map I have had for some time (I'm sorry don't remember who's it is)

S & D's Anniversary Card

Well some good friends of ours are celebrating their Anniversary later this month.  I was going to wait to post but the last time I did that the card took three weeks to get there.   Anyway here is the card I did for them

Tyler's Birthday Card sorry the Mail didn't get it to you on time Hopefully maybe Monday. Tyler is the Editor of the Hinton Voice and works with our daughter.  His birthday was Friday.  Hope you had a good one.  

 

I did a card for Greg.  Julies Husband and Tara's dad from Creative Accents Had fun with this one.

Used my Silhouette for the card front and inside cut outs.  Greg had some surgery on his leg and is kind of laid up for a few months.  Take Care Greg we miss you at the store.   

This Phone card I did for a friends Birthday who lives on the east coast his birthday is Monday, hope it gets there on time.

Silhouette Cut Out

I got playing with the Silhouette this week and found these beautiful Roses.  I think I am going to be making a few cards with these.  Paper is some new stuff they got in at Creative Accents.  Loving it. Did a light spray with gold on the roses and that is about it Roses are cut out of textured heavy card stock.

Hi all Feb. 4 is my friend Susanne's Birthday and I invited her for tea and a talk. Just to darn bad she is in Germany and it will be awhile till we can do that face to face.  She looks in on the blog on a regular basics so I could not post this card till I knew she had it for sure.
