Well it's Carla's Birthday  (actually July 1 is) we decided we would try and surprise her and do it a day early.

The Start was at Cheri's  But she has been sick and now blogger has refused to let her in. So Sarah's  is the start.   I have listed all at the bottom of this post so if you get lost just hop on back.  From here you to to Chris's

Now Carla does beautiful cards and coloring, so I did  not go that root I decided to do something I have been thinking about for some time.So here it is CARLA  Hope you have a great Birthday.

 

Yes a pop up card....  There is a side view and top view for you.  Carla your card should be at CA for you to pick up after lunch.  If you are out and about before then and want to pick it up from me you know where to find me.  Barb's card will get to you some time soon I know (sorry I was suppose to pick it up last night)

Stampede Time and Using up some Scrap

With the Famous Williams Lake Stampede almost here I did this card up a little while back.  It has been on display at Creative Accents if anyone want to see it in person.  

I have paper pieced the boots, used a line stamp to do an out line around two layers, used peel and stick letters for the howdy, spellbinders label to stick them to and an little twine around the edge to add a little.  It is a very quick and easy card to do but I like how it turned out.  All items are available at Creative Accents.


This second card I did is also very quick and simple I used up some of my scrap ( you know those 1 inch pieces that you get when you trim up paper for something)  I have woven the pieces together then used a sewing border stamp to do the stitching (you can do it by hand with a pen and ruler if need be)  Simple saying and you are done.    I am doing a set of quilting type cards for a friend who is a great quilter.

Fathers Day Card

Fathers day is next Sunday so I decided to share this card I made for my dad with you all.

What does not show in the picture is that the white circles look like golf balls.  I did this by cutting a small  circle then running it through an embossing folder with large dots.  Colored with Copic's.
Well all for now will be back hopefully later today with some cards I did at a crop yesterday.  Sure was a good time and I am so tired this morning.

 I may even stop in one day soon to the store and have tea with her so she doesn't have to pretend.  You could stop by as well and wish her the best. Wow June Challenge is Here.

 Creative Accents Challenge Blog  has the June Challenge up.  

It is a sweet Sketch from our very own Cheri. This month we have asked for you to use the Sketch with a masculine theme.  Well with Fathers Day coming as well as a lot of Grad's it should not be to hard to come up with something.  So we really hope to see your entry and remember you don't have to have a blog to enter.  Tara and Julie at Creative Accents will gladly hang your entry on the Tree.( you just have to get it into them)

Happy Birthday Dave King

My nieces other half, is having a birthday today so I had to make him a special card to celibate. ( I hope after this we are still invited to the wedding this summer.)  Now a little explaining is needed I asked Aimee what Dave is interested in besides Hockey.  Her answer was he loves dogs (they have a great dane), plays the drums, likes working in the garden and is a music drama teacher ---Oh ya his last name is King.  So I could not resist  doing this card.

Anniversary Cards

I have a couple of Anniversary's coming up in June and with the possible postal strike I wanted to get them off in the mail. 

I used the Stamp of the Month for May (Love this stamp) Bo bunny paper/ Stamped with Blue and Green Memento Ink/ Glitter/ and bling and flowers from my stash.

Male Type Cards

 With Fathers day coming up fast,  I thought I would do a couple of cards for the male's in our life's. 

Materials Bo Bunny paper, some brads, Vintage Photo TH Distress Ink and border punches.
Also on the Car card I followed one of Cheri's Sketch for her May's Challenge.
I made the train track using the picket fence from QK.., other shapes are all QK or Spellbinder dies.

Katharina's Birthday

Well it is Katharina's Birthday on Monday.  She is the little girl from Germany that visited with us last summer, now I have done cards for her Brother/Father and Mother on their birthdays so it is finally her turn.  I enjoyed making this one for her.  I really hope she likes it.  Have a great Birthday Katharina.

I used Lily of the Valley Stamps some Wild Orchard flowers and some bling. Colored with Copic's and Spectra pens for a little sparkle.

OH MY OH MYThey are 18 already Happy Birthday Boys

I can't believe that today May 22 my two oldest Grandson's turn 18.  Happy Birthday Brandon and Colton this grandma could not be prouder of you.   I just spent last week end visiting them for their Spring Prom wish I could be there to party with them this week end.  (Ya like they would really go for that)

A Quick Card

I have not been able to get crafty this past couple of weeks so tonight I decided had to get myself going.

Here is a quick card I did with a ship that is in a nice set of stamps by Technique Tuesday available at CA. 

I really like this set as it has lots of male type stuff.  Watch for more in the future.  

Anyway here is what I did. 

I used the wave die from QK.  The Happy Birthday stamp is one I have had for some time again from CA.

Hope you enjoy I am sure there will be more cards coming from this set seeing as how fathers day is fast approaching.

Spring Prom

Well today is pretty special for me.  Today my oldest grandson's  Brandon and Colton have their grade 12 Spring Prom and this grandma is going to be there (in Hinton Alberta).   I have done some Prom cards for them and their girls.  I had so much fun doing Girl cards, of coarse I am pleased with the idea I came up with for the boys as well.
So here are the cards I did for them.  I will try and put some pictures up next week of the couples.

Happy Birthday BARB

Well you folks have seen cards done by Barb on my blog from time to time.  Today is her birthday and I wanted to wish her a very special day for a VERY SPECIAL lady. 

I ashamed to say I did not get a card done for her.  I have been so busy getting all the cards I needed done for May,  I sort of put her's to the side. Thinking I would get some great idea for hers and it would just fall together.  Well it didn't I am really sorry Barb so I hope this little box I did will fill the gap.  I will deliver it to her tonight on my way home.  I don't think I will wake her up this morning delivering it to her.    However Barb if you are in town and want to stop by the office I will have it there for you or else will deliver on my way home.

I guess I should let a few that don't know Barb is my friend, next door neighbour and crafting buddy.  We have a great time together.  Well must get ready for work and get out the door.

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers out there. Plus Pictures from CA's Fiesta

Well I really did not plan to have a new post up here today, but something is going funny with my blog and I have not been able to figure it out yet.   So I thought I would post a new post and see where this one goes.

So with this post I am going to share a couple of pictures from Creative Accents Fiesta ( which is going to take me a while to recover from) We had a wonderful time, lots of laugh's, goodies, food like you would not believe and ideas (which I hope to be able to remember)  also don't forget the new friends made.  Great time girls

Let's Party Creative Accents May Challenge

Wow  time for another challenge at Creative Accents Challenges Blog  This months is Let's Party  anything you want to do with the Party Time Theme.  This one should be an easy one for you all, so we want to see lots of entries.  You don't have to have a blog to join, you can take your items into the store and they will hang it on THE Wall.  It is so neat to see what everyone else has done with their projects.

 We are still looking for Seriously Creative Design Team members,  for a 3 month time frame   Hop on over to the blog and see what you would have to do to enter.    


Well with out any more Chit Chat here is my card for this Challenge. I choose a Birthday card for the simple reason I have so many to do for May.  (Eight in total just family)

I have colored with Copic's  High lighted with Spectra glitter pens and Glossy Accents.  
Stamps are from Cornish Heritage (so sorry they closed there doors.)  Balloons are from Quick Cuts Sprayed with Glimmer Mist Apple Red.

Mays Stamp of the Month at Creative Accents

Good Day all hope everyone is looking forward to May as much as I am.  This month I am the Designer to help with the Stamp of the Month at our local Craft Store Creative Accents.  I just love the stamp Tara has chosen from  Magenta and we used  Bo Bunny  The Gabriella Collection.

Here are the two cards I have done with it so far.  I do believe I will be getting a lot of stamping done with this one.  Hopefully you all will to.

This first card I used a Cheri Sketch Stamped the Dragonfly with Brown Magenta Ink and then used Glitter Ritz over it and the Happy  Anniversary. 

This second card Dragon Fly is stamped in Green Magenta Ink, added some color with Copic's , Used my glimmer gel pen and put silver on the wings (picture doesn't show this well) then did Glossy Accents over the whole dragon fly.  Added a little ribbon and stamped in the nice little area already on the Bo Bunny paper. How simple can you get. 

As I say a very versatile little stamp.  I can see getting lots of use out of this one.  Would make a lovely mothers day card as well.

Creative Accents April Challenge Just a few days left.

Well just a few days left in the Creative Accents April Challenge.
