December Seriously Creative Challenges

Here we go with the last Challenge of 2012  sure hope you will join us at.. Creative Accents
This month it is 

So I know everyone is busy decorating or doing cards or baking what have you.. Me I have been doing some decorating and a lot of card making.. I made some really quick cards here and dropped them off at the store if you want to go see them.. Hope you enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas..

Two of the cards are made with some new embossing folders the store got in on the nice shiny paper (does it ever emboss nice and quick cards) added a bit of bling and ribbon and done..
The two others are made using Memory Dies.. Red on is the ornament just cut out of shiny paper again and a little ribbon added..
Top Left a little more work but love it..

Friends Birthday

Been a bit slow this month on posting on my blog here.. I have been busy doing Christmas cards and getting some other crafting done, but can't post those pictures yet..

Anyway I have a couple of friends that have a birthday November 30th... they are sisters as well ya you guessed it they are twins.. now I have known them for many years .. but have been really closer to them the last few.. I was really bad and did only one card cause one comes to visit me on a regular basics for tea.. 

Well here is the card I did..

Love this stamp from Graphicat and I used her sketch #13 .. and so love the Memory box dies for embelishing

Well we all got together again and had a great afternoon playing and making our Novermber Tag.. 

as we have already had our Thanksgiving up here and Canada our tags turned out a whole lot different.. but we all used Tim's tech. on them.. so here you go..

Challenge Time Again.. November

Yes it is time again for another Creative Accents Challenge  

November really came along fast

Wonderful Wood is our theme this time. 

Now when I first heard this I panicked, my mind went blank 

So off to the craft room and started pulling anything I had that would work 

Well I got a pleasant surprise as I looked ideas just kept coming..

So I got a few things done.. First is this Tag I made with an Embossing folder, inked it up with some of my Disstress inks then sprayed with several different sprays.. 

Next I came up with this card.. Cut the Trees out of cork and sprayed with Perfect Pearls..

Used a wood grain stamp as back ground 

Embossed a saying I found in gold. 

 Quick and simple 

Next I did this card using lots of different items.. and tech.. like the way it turned out..

Love the little wood tags they just got in to the store.. they give such a nice touch..

I embossed a metal sheet with gears then colored with Alchol Ink.. then just layed up papers till I was happy with the look.. Card ended being 5-1/2 square..

Halloween is Coming.. What do you do for it..

I have a great time this time of year.. HALLOWEEN.. we used to have so much fun with the kids.. costumes and decorating the house.. bond fires.. fire works..

Well with no one home or close now I do boxes to all the Kids and grand-kids and some of there friends..

This year I did tags.. Here a picture of some that I managed to put together..

These also would go for the challenge over at Creative Accents Seriously Creative Challenges..

These two above are for my youngest two grand children.  The tags are attached to little bags of candy..

My husband saw the empty box and just about had a bird thinking I had eaten it all.. cause there was candy in there he wanted.. Nope not me was very good and didn't eat any  but did do up twenty bags and tags to go in the mail.. Hope they all get there on time..

Had so much fun with them.. used perfect Pearls.. Tim Holtz Halloween Distress inks.. Stamps..
and lots of glitter spray..

Playing with Memory Box Dies

Last night realized I needed a quick card for a Birthday.. I have a small collection of Memory Box Dies and love the way these cut out..so I used them to create these two cards.. Think I am going to be adding a few more to that collection.. They have some in at Creative Accents and they have no problem ordering them in for you.. I have a few I have yet to play with for Christmas cards..

So here is what I put together last night.. (paper doesn't show as well as it should it is the new shinny stuff they just got back in at the store) Blue card will be in the store later today for you to get a better look at..

I also did the following card alittle while ago and will be taking it to the store sometime today for you to get a better look at.. It is done with TH Distress Pens and coloring the stamp..

October Tim Holtz Tag

Today was Tag Day at Creative Accents..  We did a tag Tech. class first and then went on to make our version of  Tim Holtz October 2012 Tag

Here are our three tags.. Tara will have her's up I am sure on Creative Accents site a bit later.. she was a very busy lady today with customers and teaching at the same time.. Hers was still a little wet when ours were all finished..

October Challenge Time At Creative Accents

Well September sure disappeared  quickly and we  are having some beautiful weather with the best fall colors happen- in..

So with that in mind as well as Halloween coming up fast here is your photo inspiration

I love the colors of fall myself.. (don't like the idea that winter comes next) 

walking in the dry leaves and the smells.. 

With that it mind here is my first item..

 

I used a Hero Arts stamp set with leaves.. 

Ranger Distress Inks in the fall pallet

Some nice ribbon in fall colors..

I stamped and cut out the stamp on post it note to use as a mask 

I laid the ink down on my work surface then wiggled and walked the stamp..

Masking off the leave before next stamp.. 

Also did a second item.. I can't remember for sure where I saw this I do believe it was 

Canadian Nickel Scrap'n

The picture is not the best.. It is a Pumpkin   

I used Halloween pumpkin paper cut into 1" x6" strips

Distressed the edges.

two brads one for each end of the Pumpkin

punched holes approx.. 1/2" from each end 

Alternated the paper strips and formed my shape..

I cut leaves in different colored scraps and a vine from my Memory Box collection

These were all sprayed with shiny spray ( sorry don't remember which one I used)

Rolled the leaves slightly to give some die-mention

Stem is some rolled thin wire I had..

Will make a lovey fall center piece  or what have you.. quick to make

Baby Cards

Well haven't done any baby cards in a long time and had a couple to do for this month..
 Both for little girls..

This first one I am showing you I used Graphicat's Sketches  Cutting it close again to get it up for her challenge...

This second card I made for my friend Susan for her friends first Grandchild it was fun doing it with Susan looking over my shoulder to see how cards are done.. She even got some imput for it..

September Creative Accents Challenge Time

What are you playing for? 

Besides the fun of it?  Our random winner this month will take home a surprise 6x6 pad of paper that includes at least one text print patten and a $10 gift certificate for the online store! 

Should be fun and I am sure you can all find time to enter.. 
This is what I came up with..

I just got this lovely stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps.. New in the store.. 
She is colored up with my new Distress Pens.. (loving these)  I used Linen paper that is embossed and then colored with the newest Distress Stamp Colors..  Back ground is stamped with Hero Arts friends stamp and flowers and bling added..

A Birthday Card

It was my Husband's birthday last month so I did this card up for him.. it was a quick card cause it was one of those days that he kept coming down to my craft room to tell me something or other.. (usually I am safe in there )  Oh well..

I used my TH Disstress Pens.. have to get back in there and play some more with them..

this is the second stamping of the ship off of the one coloring.. I am so pleased with these.. Here is a picture with the other two stampings..

The one on the card is on TH water color paper.. the one on the top right is the shiny paper (can't remember what it is called) and the third is again on the water color paper..  (sorry Picture is not better.)
1st one I huffed on
2nd is light fine mist at arms length
3rd is more spray closer..

You have to be careful not to over spray second and third one.. but I think they are all useable.. will have to get busy and do some cards with them..

I used the paper's that went with August SOTM.. to do this card..  as well as the bling.. used my new shapes and a little distress ink.. I love the way they don't hide the Pens colors..

Anniversary Cards had a few to Make

Well if it is not Birthday cards it's Anniversary Cards and there were a few this time round..

First off is the one I did for Janet and George Ross one of our neighbours on the Hill here..

I am tring to remember if it was their  56 or 57th Ann..

I love these Lily of the Valley pre colored images for quick cards..

Second card is for my Brother and his wife..

they have been doing a lot of gardening this past couple of years.. Lots of Cherry Trees..
I thought this image was great for them.. Also sort of used Graphicat's Sketch for it.. so will enter it over there.. Graphicat Sketchs Blog  there is a few days for you to get in on this one..

Summer Sunshine Inspiration

Still lots of time to enter in the SUMMER Challenge for August at Creative Accents Challenge Blog

Here is a card I did a while ago that I realized fitted right in with this Challenge.. Now I always thought it was hard to get a good picture of Blues.. I have since changed my mind.. Yellow with green it very hard.. This card has a lot of yellow in it.. Just stop by the store to see..

I did the coloring with my Distress Inks..

The Kings First Wedding Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to the two of  you.. I am a little late posting this was suppose to do it last night so it would be up for today.. Any way here is the card I made for them.. Hope it got there in time..

Early Birthday Present to Myself

I know should not do that but when you want something bad enough you do what you have to do..
Last week end when at the Christmas in July crop at Creative Accents  I played with Tara's new Tim Holtz Distress Pens..

I fell in love with them.. in a post further down you will see a card with fairies that I did with them.. well this week more sets came in at CA and I got my self a set..

This week end after I worked really hard Saturday and Sunday ( and I did to) Sunday afternoon and  Monday was my time to play.. now I did spend some time on Sunday at Barb's using a couple of her stamps to try these out.. Here is what I came up with so pleased with these.. Now don't expect these to work like copic's cause they don't..but I am really looking forward to doing more with these.  Let me know what you think..

This one is the first I put together.. The Best Wishes I over sprayed so it spread a bit more than I would have liked but I went over with the pen again and gave it a bit more definition and am happier with it.. this one is stamped on water color paper and touched up with Speca Pens..

This one is done on the shiny paper recommended sorry don't remember the name of it..Nice to work with though.. You can use your distress ink pads over the image afterwards and it doesn't interfere(Nice) . This is a second stamping after doing one on water color paper.. Still came out great. (have one more that I stamped at the same time that is very useable.)

This one of the cowboy is the first stamping on water color paper.. I am very happy with this one.. (have two others that I stamped with just giving the stamp a little spray in between that are useable as well)
(Hint to do this it is a good idea to stamp the image first on just plain paper so you see clearly the area's you want to color on the stamp.. Sometimes it was hard to see.. cause of coarse I didn't do this first.)

Well please tell me what you think.. I have a bunch of stamps that I want to play with again using these..
