New Challenge For August

Man July went far to fast and we are already in to August and that means it is Challenge time again.. And since we are having some lovely weather lets do something Summery and use some Yellows...

Now pop on over and see what the rest of the DT have to show you.. Creative Accents Challenges.

Here is what I came up with last night.. I am very pleased with it..

Forgot name of the paper but they have lots in the store right now and I am sure Julie or Tara can point you in the right direction.. One side is the flip flops and other the chevrons
the ribbon is attached to a tag that pulls out..

Hope you enjoy looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.. Tara will have the prize for this month I am sure posted over there..

August Stamp of the Month

Oh my this stamp is a lot of fun.. Lovely shell border..the card above I stamped the image on the new Linen Paper

This card I embossed in silver.. Oh my it does very well.. 

I had so much fun that I did an other card and tag here they are..

Christmas in July Crop At Creative Accents

Well didn't get a hole lot done but it was really great to visit, have some laugh's, see what everyone else has been up to..
Hope the  floors have dried out a bit for them at Creative Accents, they had a roof drain back up on Friday night, when we had a good soaking rain and thundre shower go through.  What a mess Julie and Tara had to clean up, quite a bit of paper ruined with water.. 

Anyway they were great about it and we had a good time with the big fan's running in the back ground..

So here is what I got done as far a Xmas cards went..

On Saturday wanted to play with my new stamps so did this card...

It's a set of Fairy Stamps and this one is from the set called Autumn. 

This card again Fairy from the same set.. But I used the Distress Pens on the stamp.. Tara let me borrow her set to give a try.. I do believe I will have to get myself a set...

Playing on the Week End

Well took some time and played in the Craft room this week end.. finished up some cards that needed their insides done.. Put together this card I am sharing with you today and then realized this morning that I could enter it in a challenge or two..

The first Challenge I am entering her in is  Stamptacular Sunday Challenge
I haven't entered this one in awhile but I always look to see what is going on.. They have some neat ideas and challenges.. For this weeks challenge you will create a card or project that uses TWO or More Dies!I used two different spellbinder dies around the girl.

The Second Challenge is Crazy 4 Challenges  Again another that I always look at and have entered a few times..  Stitching ~ Faux or Real  is the challenge this week.. I have Faux going around the edge of the card.. It just needed something and that was it..

Also did some others but you will have to come back and see later.. Aug.. 1 or there about's..

Have you checked out Graphicat Sketch Challenge Blog   so much fun.. Cheri does a lovely job on her sketches and the rules for entering are easy to meet.. I really try to do one every two weeks.. I think I have only missed a couple of them.. How about you..

TH July Tags

Today was the day we got together at Creative Accents In Air Condition Comfort :)  and did our Tim's July card.. Tara also did a class before hand on the many ways to use Alchol Inks.. What Inky fun we had..
 Here are the tags we did..  So sorry forgot the girls name that joined us on this.. she was fabulous in her creations.. When I get hwe name I  will put on .. Kayla is her name.. Hope she joins us again..

With all of us using the same Tech. Surprising how they all turned out..

What I did before CARDS

A few years back before I got hooked on making cards one of my pastimes was Cross Stitch.
Well we had some company a few weeks ago and I had to get a couple of rooms tidy so they had some where to sleep..(you know how your spare rooms become collection places)
In the process of the tidy up I got some of my Cross Stitch together, with the backing and frames all in one box..

So that ment I had to start seriously thinking about putting them together so they could be displayed the way I orginally wanted.. Last Sunday was the day.. to hot to work in card room upstairs I headed for the basement and some coolness..
I won't bore you with the time it took me to figure out (remember) how to mount these and frame them .. ( I should put a plug in here for my husband, he painted the frames up for me really quickly when I asked they were just plain pine and I wanted black)

First shot is of them hanging in the dinning room.. followed with not the best pic's of them but enough to show you..

The frames are 9-1/2" X 11-1/2"

July Creative Challenges

It's time again for a new challenge over at Creative Accents Challenges

This month you get to use all kinds of stuff you have stashed away thats right we are Challenging you to Un- Inked  Un-Cut or Un-Opened....

If you are like me you have a few things around that fall into this area.. Now you don't have to use them all but you could Challenge yourself to try..

So here is what I ended up with

The lacey circle is from Spellbinders.
All of the above are the first time used..
colored with Copics of coarse.. Ribbon from my stash .. Smile from a sheet of punch out peel and stick letters.. Lacey Circle has been colored with the new Ranger Summer collection.. Lovin this set..

Now I was so pleased with this after is was all done I did another using the stamp and lacey circle just for fun..

# 11 at Graphicat Sketchs Challenge Blog

Well didn't want to miss out again over at Graphicat Sketches now that I have some MoJo back..
So got busy this afternoon in the craft room and did this card up..
I am loving the new Distress Summer Inks from Ranger.. Colored the paper using two of the colors..

I haven't used this set of stamps in a long while..

Got My MOJO back ( I Hope)

Been having a really hard time getting crafty this past month, I have done a few cards but it has been hard.. How ever after doing the TH tag last week end I felt really good so went home and on Sunday managed to get a few done.. Here they are hope you enjoy..

This first one was cut mostly with some of Barb's stuff. Wanted to play with that new card cut out (sorry don't know name) from TH that makes a circle in the middle.. I love it.. Barb also has this flower and have been looking at it for awhile.. the paper I took over to play just happened to match so was a quick card..

The two cards above I made from a neat set I got at CA and since it is Stampede time here thought I should make some to take to the store So these were taken there on Monday if you care to stop in and take a look.

This card is done with the new spring Ranger inks and the linen paper from the from CA also used new Memory Box die for the music notes.. Linen was embossed first then inked up..
I am sure enjoying the new colors.. Can hardly wait to start the Summer ones.. Picked them up as well but haven't played yet.  That's tonight at Creative Accents should be fun..

Tim's June Tag

Well four of us got together on Saturday and did Tim Holtz's June tag..

some Cards

It has been some time since I posted a card.. I have been in a slump but have done a couple of cards..

First one up is one I did for my Mum and Dad's  62nd Wedding Ann. which was on the 17th.. Of coarse I mailed it in plenty of time I thought but Canada Post did it again and it was late getting there.. At least they finally got it a week late.. Oh well ..

The second card is one I did for my Boss.. his birthday is this month as well..

I am really liking this stamp for birthdays and with Stampede on its way soon. I think I should be making a few more like this..

Hope you are enjoying some warmer nicer weather where ever you are.. Suddenly got hot here yesterday and it is taking it toll on us..

Buttons and Twine June Challenge

Ok, got my BUTTONS and Twine Challenge DONE..

Now I know this is NOT what you are all expecting but I had to do this... As you know from my last post that BUTTONS are a challenge for me...
I don't believe BUTTONS should be on cards..Well not mine anyway..

That's right you got it, a canvas on what you use BUTTONS for.. Now be sure to hop on over to

So just to show I can do a Card with BUTTONS as well here is what I came up with.

This is a new pad of 6x6 by Bo Bunny that is in the store now.. Also Buttons and Charm go with the paper..

June Challenge Time

Well June is here already which means there is a new one up at   Creative Accents Challenges

Yes you got it BUTTONS  & Twine.. Well guess what folks mine is not done yet.. Now I know
some of you will be having a good laugh at this... For those that don't know me I have a thing about BUTTONS on cards.. I don't think they belong there.. BUTTONS are for sewing.. no problem with the twine part of it..

I know this is a Callenge and I will do one.  Even have the BUTTONS picked out and everything but due to it being a really busy time for me right now I did not get it done in time.. So be sure to check back and see what I have come up with.( you never know I may even get hooked on the things)

 Remember this is a Challenge so we want to see what you do as well..

So go get your BUTTONS & Twine and get your entry in.. I will be looking to see if any of you can change my mind about them..
