A Halloween Card for Graphicat Sketchs Challenge

Cheri has done another fantastic Sketch over at   Graphicat Sketchs   My goodness so many layers.. You will have to hop on over and take a look as well as enter your own card or layout..

Crazy 4 Challenges

Found this Challenge blog when doing the all Canadian Blog Hop and fell in Love with it had to become a follower and this is my first entry... 

Crazy 4 Challenges   

This week is a .... Recipe Challenge – Use only LEAF images, your card must include a rust or burnt orange color (but is not limited to only this color), only 2 fibers (ribbon, lace, twine, fabric) and only 3 embellishments (but whether you choose to use just 3 embellishments, or 3 different types of embellishments is your call!) No leaf images? Use a plant or flower with leaves image!




Here is the card I have done.. Really enjoyed doing this on this wonderful fall day..

It's Melynda's Birthday

This young lady works for the Hinton Voice and is a very busy girl... I made this card for her and sent it out nice and early to be sure it got there on time..  Then realized I had forgotten to take pictures of it so I would be able to post here.. 

In a panic (sort of) I asked my Sarah to take pictures as soon as it got there... Of coarse this card took extra long to find its way there.. So glad it made it still in lots of time..

World Card Making Day Canadian Blog Hop

I had so much fun with this..  I used a Kraftin Kimmie Stamp.. Colored with Copic's and used Glitter Ritz on the Maple Leaf and side stripes.

Birthday Time again for Someone Special.

We have another birthday to celebrate from Creative Accents.. Yes folks it's Tara's Birthday..
Now we have not done a hop for her but I am sure some of the other Design Team members will be putting up cards for her as well.

Well Tara this OLD LADY (inside joke)  has done you a card..
I thought and thought on this for some time trying to come up with something fitting.. 


So here is the card I made for you and  will deliver to the store later today..some of us on the DT are meeting at the store today to do some creating, (In other words a fun time), if you are in the area stop by and wish Tara a very Special Birthday..

I did the flowers and leaves  on water color paper using TH Ink Stains ( I am in love with these) Cut out the Birthday wish with a new Spellbinders.. Can't remember the paper.. Embossed the bottom of the card with butterfly's  Bling is from my stash..

Inside of the card is sweet and simple..

September Challenge Time at Creative Accents

My goodness where did the month of August go it sure disappeared in hurry.. Well now on to September and the new Challenge at Creative Accents Challenge Blog

So I will quickly show you what I have done for this one..

Love this Canada Girl  from Crafting Kimmy stamps..
She was so easy to pair up with the maple leafs that are cut with IK punch
Ribbon is from CA with lovely Maple Leafs on it as well.
Papers are Bo Bunny ( Lauderdale )
My two embellishments are the bling on the saying.
I used Crazy Cats Aug. Sketch

Just Playing Around Card

Was in my craft room the other night trying to find some mojo or what ever and put this card together just using some left overs ..  I like the way it turned out and thought I would share it with you all..

All the scraps are from my left over bin..
Ribbon also just a scrap left over just barely big enough to make the bow

So simple and quick..

Happy Anniversary Janet and George

One of our neighbors is Celebrating an Anniversary today  George and Janet Ross have been married 57 years today..  So pleased for them..  Here is the card I came up with for this special day ...

A couple of Quick Cards

I hope everyone has been enjoying August and the nice weather we have been having.. I have not been spending much time in my craft room that's for sure..  Had to do a couple of quick cards for friends and family this past week end..I thought I would share them with you as well. 

This first one is for a neighbor who had her birthday on Wednesday..

I have always liked this stamp but it has a saying built right into it that made it hard to use as often as I would like.. looking around I realized I have those nice spellbinder cut outs for sayings...

Second card is for my brother and his wife it is their Anniversary on Sept. 1... hope they have a great one.. I have put this in the mail to them so hopefully it will get there on time.. 

This stamp was Stamp of the Month a while back at Creative Accents and I love it.. So many ways to use it.

Well as I said hope you all are enjoying your summer..

Robin's Birthday Card a little early

Robin works with my daughter in Hinton, (the two of them are The Hinton Voice (well owners anyway))
At the end of August is Robin's birthday and usually I am late getting the cards to them.. Just a minute lets redo that.. I have mailed them in time... the Post Office seems to take a long time to deliver them.. So this time I sent it with lots of time and the Post office decided it would speed this one up..

Robin wrote me a nice little message thanking me for the card.. So with out anymore fan fair here is her card..

Robin has a little bit of a shoe fetish.

The stamped image is from Lily of the Valley as well as the saying..
Flowers are Wild Orchard.. ribbon and bling from my stash..

The inside saying is from  Graphic Cat (love it)

Creative Accents August Challenge

Here we are again time for another Challenge over at Creative Accents Challenges
For the month of August it is Use Your Stash..

We all have stuff we have hardly used or maybe even not used. ( I could not imagine that) or it's been a while since we pulled it out or even a tech. we haven't used in some time.

So crafty people  get looking through your stash and see what you can come up with.

Here is what I managed to find (and to tell the truth is wasn't hard once I started going through stuff)
When I bought my Big Shot I got a nice package (sweet deal) and it had a lot of additions.  I had cut this butterfly once and had it sitting there looking at me for the longest time saying its about time you used me... My thoughts were how and where to use this.  It is meant to be a album or book cover but that is not what it was saying to me. 

Here is my Card -- Easel Card that is.  I used TH Distress  Inks to do the shading-- embossed a back ground stamp that has been in my drawer calling to me--with Kaleidoscope powder-- Some flowers and some Stickles ...

I had to visit Barb (Mrs. T) for the saying stamps Cornish Heritage (she had not used these yet herself :>)) also borrowed her butterfly punch (she has used this a fair bit) and the branch is also from when I bought the Big Shot as well (did I tell you I got a sweet package).

Now you all get busy and see what you have hid away in your craft central...
So looking forward to see what you come up with.. and get it posted (sure to be some candy involved)

August Sketch Challenge at Graphicat

So as I waited for the guys to restore water to the house I distracted myself in the craft room working on the Sketch... (We have water again it was a split in the pipe)
